¡á Expand aggressive marketing resources in Japan¡¯s ISDB-T where the demand is expected to rise
July 18, 2007 (Seoul) = C&S Technology, a Digital multimedia Communication and Broadcasting Total Solution Provider, said on July 18 that it would participate in the 12th Wireless Japan 2007 held in Tokyo from July 18 to July 20 to strengthen its attack to the Japanese market.
Wireless Japan is a mobile technology communication exhibition for wireless and mobile communication and R&D and marketing and includes semiconductors, mobile services, terminals, networks and business models. Every year about 40,000 professionals and buyers visit the exhibition where the latest products and technologies are introduced.
C&S plans to demonstrate its own multimedia communication and broadcasting chips and solution in the exhibition and exhibit Triton, a mobile TV chip and portable TV mounted with Triton in addition to the VoIP chip, Cronus that successfully went into commercial service and Rhea, digital mobile telephone CPU chip.
C&S has experiences and know-how in Japan¡¯s ISDB-T market where the demand for mobile TV is on the rise. With the widespread digital mobile broadcasting service in Japan, C&S becomes the leading chip supplier. Recently, the company advanced in the Japanese market with Triton mounted in 3G mobile phones of Samsung Electronics, reinforcing its technical capability for mobile TV chipset in Japan.
In recent years, Japan¡¯s mobile communication market is shifting fast to 3G from 2.5G and the Korean market is out of supply with surging demand for new models and change-over due to the deregulation on subsidy and telephone number transfer around the end of last year. The multimedia chip for Japanese mobile TV also experienced increasing demand.
Therefore, with the participation in the exhibition, C&S will make full efforts to raise awareness and technical capabilities and develop new accounts to expand its presence in the Japanese market. The company said that it would increase its supply of Triton through various sales channels with local companies in Japan.
