Cronus is a chipset exclusively for VoIP device that processes voice and data on the Internet or in the mobile environment. A variety of audio decoders are embedded such as narrowband voice codec including G723.1/G.711/G.729, G.722 which is ITU-T compliant standard broadband codec and MP3/AAC.
Cronus is applicable to VoIP phone, WiFi phone, Digital mobile communication-based CoIP phone, Residential gateway (One to four port), TPS (Triple Play Service) set-top box that supports Internet, Broadcasting and Communication services, home networking device, MP3 player, dual mode mobile phone that simultaneously supports CDMA/GSM phone and VoIP, and other communication devices. Cronus can be used as main processor for the IP –based communication devices and as co-processors for various devices that need communication functions.
